Great&Small ceramic bowls are made of dolomite, which is an eco-friendly alternative to earthenware. It's fired at a much lower temperature which uses less energy and is better for the environment. Dolomite is also a degradable material, with less environmental impact. Dolomite changes back into clay after approximately 20-30 years, whereas Ceramic/porcelain stays in the ground intact, never degrading, over thousands of years.
