Catnip can be naturalised all over the world, but the catnip found in most pet toys sold in the UK is grown in China or India. However, the plants used in King Catnip are grown on an organic catnip farm in the foothills of Mount Rainier in the Cascade Range of mountains near Seattle in North America, the highest mountain in Washington State. The glaciers from the mountain feed the plants, providing the most pure and clean water for excellent growth. This combined with absolutely no fertilisers or chemicals means that the catnip used in the King Catnip range is the purest and most potent quality.
Remember too that many catnip toys found on the market are often filled with, or contain, a mixture of stalks and roots which are the least potent part of the plant and the cheapest to supply so toys filled this way will often mean cats react less strongly or feel less satisfied with the toy.
